4 Rituals That Will Make You Happy, According to Neuroscience

Ahhhh….what are you grateful for?

“It’s not finding gratitude that matters most; it’s remembering to look in the first place. Remembering to be grateful is a form of emotional intelligence. One study found that it actually affected neuron density in both the ventromedial and lateral prefrontal cortex. These density changes suggest that as emotional intelligence increases, the neurons in these areas become more efficient. With higher emotional intelligence, it simply takes less effort to be grateful.”

Yin Yoga & Acupuncture Workshop – Join Us April 14

Awaken and Energize this Spring with a Yin Yoga & Acupuncture Workshop

Yin Yoga & Acupuncture Workshop – Open and Energize Your Meridians
Sunday, April 14, 2013 – 2:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Location: Butterfly Yoga, 1191 Chess Drive Suite C, Foster City

With Annie Moore, RYT, MA and Brielle Kelly, licensed acupuncturist and Diplomate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine

Registration is required as space is limited. Reserve your spot today! If you would like to pay by cash or check, please email me at annie@yogaplusmoore.com

In this workshop we’ll explore the deeper practice of Yin Yoga, where poses are held passively for several minutes to target the connective tissues of the body. Yin Yoga restores the natural joint mobility and opens up the body’s meridian system to enhance the body’s energetic flow.

Yin Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles that are predominant today.

In this workshop, you will experience:
Yin poses to activate the energy flowing through the body in invisible pathways called meridians, by working the deep tissues. The strength and flow of the meridian system is essential for the harmonious balance in our organ health.

An acupuncture treatment during the final relaxation/ savasana portion of the workshop to help strengthen your immune system and maximize the benefit of the Yin practice. Acupuncture induces a therapeutic effect on the body by unblocking energy throughout the meridians to restore internal balance. By releasing stress-reducing hormones and lowering the heart rate and blood pressure, acupuncture will mimic the effects of transcendental meditation, further deepening your relaxation

Aromatherapy oils to create a number of positive effects from calming and sedating to stimulating and energizing.

This Yin Yoga and Acupuncture Workshop is the soothing balm to help us balance our stress-filled, over-scheduled lives. Come join us!
